Cherokee High School is a Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) school located in Cherokee, NC. Cherokee culture is integrated into all curriculum areas. Each year, there is a Cultural Heritage Week and a special ceremony that honors Cherokee elders. The Braves have the opportunity to participate in five different sports. The goal of the Cherokee Athletic Department is to provide opportunities for student-athletes to excel in teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and acceptable personal and social behavior.
