University of Missouri
The University of Missouri is a public land-grant research university located in Columbia, MO. It was founded in 1839 as the first public institution of higher education west of the Mississippi River. The only athletic program that operates an NCAA Division I FBS football team in the state of Missouri. Known colloquially as Mizzou, the Tigers compete as a member of the Southeastern Conference.
